Benchmarks Portfolio Workshop - March 16

Board member attends Benchmarks Portfolio workshop

Library Board member Edith Gibbings attended the workshop as a learner. The Benchmarks Portfolio workshop looked at portfolios as a concept, a process and a product. It walked participants through the development of portfolios as a tool for building self esteem, for tracking progress towards individual goals, for demonstrating what the person knows and can do in a wide range of settings. The workshop dealt with portfolio use as an academic tool, as a personal development tool and as an assessment tool. The workshop was interactive with participants trying out some of the tools and having time for reflection.
